Commissions

My goal is to make the process of buying art enjoyable and simple. When we work together on a commission we explore your space, we discuss your desired feelings, your preferred colour palettes and rough ideas for composition: rambling cottage garden; still-life in a vase or pot; trees-landscape; seascape....We meet either in-person or via video call. We agree to a size, style and colour of frame, budget, time-frame, and, delivery method. The wonderful aspect of a commission is that you purchase a made to measure, space-specific sized painting that enhances your aesthetics. This is truly a bespoke acquisition.

 

My canvases are made from imported Italian linen and my frames are made by a framer in Brisbane. The canvas stretchers (the internal frame that the linen is stretched over) are made with kiln dried wood.  I prefer to frame my paintings in a blackwood  because it embraces the painting in elegance. However, the final decision is yours to make. 

 

There are no additional costs for commissioning a painting from me. The prices are based on the size of the canvas. To receive a price list, email me here. Framing of the work is included in the price, as is delivery or world wide freight.

Oil paintings take some time to dry - anywhere from 3-6 months depending on humidity levels, thickness of paint application and paint brand. I will complete your painting, send you photographs and videos of the completed works and then, we shall both wait for the work to dry.

 

Once dry, I will work with you on the delivery.​ When you book your commission through my studio, I offer you complimentary shipping/delivery/freight.  While I will cover the price of shipping/delivery/freight and insurance during transit; if you reside overseas, you will be responsible for any and all applicable import fees/taxes.​
